We could not have been happier with Moonglow Cottage! The views of water, sunrises, islands, flowering trees, hummingbirds, and stars are endlessly delightful. After a soak in the hot tub, frogs and delicious breezes lull you to sleep at night. The cottage is comfortable, airy, beautiful, and has everything you want and more. The owners gave great tips and the property manager is close by if you need anything. The location is perfect—up a mountain high enough for great views and quiet but still close to peaceful Coral Bay and not far from any beach. We weren’t sure about the outdoor shower beforehand but loved it. The excellent kitchen has everything you want and eating in the screened in dining area was lovely and useful for bug protection. The bed is very comfortable. We’ll definitely be back!

We, too, waited through two years of COVID delays to travel to this incredible destination. Moonglow Cottage is a warm, welcoming retreat to return to after a day exploring St. John. The Coral Bay area was perfect for our vacation - plenty of hiking trails, less-crowded beaches, great restaurants and shops, and friendly people! And the cottages furnishings, artwork, foliage - a jewel at every turn. The owner and property manager are wonderful. We would love to come back!

St. John and Moonglow Cottage were perfect for out long awaited honeymoon (postponed twice due to COVID). The view from the cottage is spectacular – the best on the island in our opinion. We were glad we had rented a Jeep to drive up the steep access road and driveway! The cottage itself is also beautiful. The photos don’t do it justice. The cottage is located close to Dolphin Market, which had everything we needed. Located on the east side of St. John, it is close to the quieter, less crowded beaches and hikes. We loved the peaceful seclusion of Kittle Bay and the hike to Ram’s Head. It is easy to access Maho Bay for snorkeling with sea turtles before the parking lot fills up with cars from Cruz Bay. The drive to the west side of the island is beautiful, with overlooks to all of the north beaches. Thank you Mary Lou! We will be back!

After waiting 18 months to return to St John, dealing with Covid restrictions and safety measures, we had the opportunity to spend two beautiful weeks on our favorite Virgin Island. We were delighted with the comfort, amenities and tranquil location MoonGlow offered. We spent lazy mornings enjoying the views from the beautiful balcony, evenings soaking in the hot tub taking in the ocean breezes and the stars, outdoor showers amongst the lush greenery and so much more. The Villa was beautifully appointed with an abundance of towels, linens, a super well stocked kitchen, comfortable cushions for the balcony area and a very firm and comfortable bed for sleeping. Our host was accessible and accommodating and the villa owner was more delightful than any we have booked with in the past. We extend our gratitude for such a wonderful hiatus away. We look forward to visiting Moon Glow again and hopefully making an annual return retreat in this villa!

After twelve visits to the island we decided on Moonglow Cottage for our first Christmas time visit. We have rented many homes mostly in Coral Bay some have been repeat visits. We have rented larger homes when traveling with others. For this visit we were looking for a peaceful, private place with a view for two. What a view Moonglow Cottage has. We have stayed right above Moonglow and remember how amazing this Calabash area is. What sets this quaint cottage apart from all of the other beautiful places we have stayed on the island besides the view is the privacy it offers. The owners have created a well-designed and decorated space with ample room for two. We felt very "at home" from the moment we arrived. They thought of everything you could need or want during your stay. We enjoyed the hot tub, the outdoor garden, grill and patio area, the outdoor shower with a view! Seemed like no matter where you were there was an amazing view. We experienced many beautiful sunrises and moonglows at night all photographed both on our cameras and in our hearts forever. This was a very memorable Christmas for us. We look forward to returning to Moonglow Cottage. As they say, "Soon come"...

Our week at the Moonglow cottage was a dream. It was so relaxing and very easy to forget about all our daily worries. The view is breathtaking, every night the sky took different colors and after dark, the moon would brighten up the dark ocean.

The cottage was sparkly clean, in the kitchen we had everything we needed (even a milk frother!) and the towels were the softest ever (after coming back from the trip I had to go to Pottery barn to get some for our house).

We highly recommend you to choose this place if you want to get away and relax. We were close to some of the most beautiful beaches on the island and the wonderful part about Coral bay is that it is not so crowded!

We loved our relaxing stay at Moonglow. It was very clean and comfortable. The home owner along with the care taker were very helpful. We would defiantly stay here again!

Such a comfy and well stocked home. Wouldn’t change a thing! Mary Lou is such a thoughtful owner and Bob McNabb is available on island if you need anything. We always enjoy Moonglow and Coral Bay and will be back soon!

Stepping onto St. John USVI is like traveling in a time capsule back to when life was simpler and folks appreciated the small joys that life brings you: the beauty of nature, of the creatures that inhabit the world other than the humanoids. Moon Glow is the most serene setting. We don’t care for the crazy night life of Cruz Bay. Been there. Done that. We want to sit at the beach and listen to the waves lapping on the shore and watch the deer and the pelicans and the iguanas and the birds. We want to snorkel with the turtles and the squid and the rays and the coral and watch the sunset. Stop at Coral Bay for a leisurely supper in our damp swimsuits and fill up on some yummy tropical delights before heading back to stargaze on the deck! This home smacks of the Caribbean in its simplicity and comfort and cooling breezes. You may have a visitor or two in the drive or the shower...lizards or frogs or deer... and get

lulled asleep by the tree frogs. Moon Glow is a little bit of heaven on earth! We will return again and again as long as we are able. Thank you, Mary Lou and Larry for allowing us to share your bounty!

Wonderful home for a couple, beautifully furnished, great king bedroom, fantastic high views which included Tortola and a hot tub! The road up to the house is rough but has room for cars to pass each other which is a plus for this location. The owners are terrific to deal with and the house manager lives near by if you have questions. The snorkeling post hurricanes was much better than anticipated. The beaches are amazing. I highly recommend this home!
